Report of Meeting held on December 2nd 2010

Craster WI showed their indomitable spirit and refused to be beaten by the bad weather.  Our planned entertainment was unable to make it through the snow so we resorted to good old-fashioned activities.  We had a quiz, pass the parcel and a beetle drive.  Much hilarity ensued and a good time was had by all.

Sylvia Biott excelled in her new role as president but to show that we had not forgotten the old one we presented Rosemary Gibbs with an aptly named rose as a token of our appreciation for all she had done. Sybil Dawson won the competition for an object beginning with A.

We were pleased that our Cancer Coffee Morning had raised £527.60.

Craster WI members have a lot more to look forward to before our January meeting as we have a Christmas carol service in Hexham as well as a Christmas dinner at Cragside [weather permitting]
