1246. Apologies for absence.

1247.  Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.

            The November 2009 Minutes were accepted as a true record.

1248. Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.

Mobile Phone Mast Update.
A reply has been received from his Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Beith MP.
Action Point: Clerk to put on the Agenda for the February Meeting & to try and find out how many people use the car park, Tourist Information Centre & visited Dunstanburgh Castle last year.

Path improvement from Bark Pots to Whin Hill.
The path work has now been completed.

Dunstan Water Leak.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC about the state of the road caused by the water leak & post a copy to NWL.

Dog Bin for Dunstan.
The new dog bin has been ordered.

Problem with the Ladies Public Toilets & Holiday Homes Bins.
Waiting for a reply from NCC.

Dunstan Bus Timetable.
The bus timetable is now up to date.

Councillor Interest Forms.
Action Point: Waiting for the completed forms from Elizabeth Pearson, Carol Grey & Rosie Robson.  New form required for Michael Taylor.

Arriva Double Decker Buses on the Windyside Bridge Road.
NCC will carry out work to the bridge.

Council Housing Policy.
CC John Taylor will be attending a Meeting on the Council Housing Policy & will update us at the next Meeting.

Christmas Tree.
The christmas tree was organised by Alan Punton & cost £27.00.

Car Park Scam Notice.
Ongoing.

Parish Councillor member required to become a Trustee of the CCDT.
Rosie Robson volunteered to become a Trustee.

1249. NWL Sewerage Update.
            Ongoing.

1250. Planning Matters.

19 Heugh Wynd – extension. No objection.
2 The Dairy Dunstan – planning refusal. Noted.
4 Sea View, Dunstan – loft conversion. In circulation.

1251.  Financial Matters.

Precept for 2010-11 will remain at £5,000.00.
Action Point: Clerk to write to NCC because although the precept has remained the same for the last 3 years the Council Tax amount per person has risen - so how many payers are there now in comparison to the last 3 years?  

Bank Balance: £5,580.80

War Memorials Trust – Conference 2nd Dec. Michael Craster was unable to attend.

AONB Management Plan 2009-14. Noted.

NALC – County Committee. In circulation.

Welcome Home Fusiliers. Well attended & the soldiers received a good welcome home.

Carol Grey.
Action Point: Clerk to send flowers & Get Well Card to Carol from the Parish Council.

Sewerage in burn.
There has been sewerage spotted in the burn next to the car park.
Action Point: Clerk to put on the Agenda for the next meeting to see if the problem has re-occurred.

Barbed wire at the Black Hole.
Action Point: Clerk to contact the Footpaths Officer concerning the barbed wire which has been put up making it difficult to get by.  

Bad Parking.
Action Point: Clerk to contact Coastal Retreats concerning the people who stay in their holiday homes, requesting that if they don’t have enough parking spaces for their cars could they park in the car park rather than on the pavements.

Burial Board Meeting.
Concern was raised about the tyre tread marks across graves at the Cemetery, although the ground is very soft could boards be used to prevent the damage which can be upsetting for people visiting graves?
Action Point: This point will be raised at the next Burial Board Meeting.

Dunstan Smithy Bank.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC concerning overhanging branches & pub sign which obstructs the view of the road for cars coming up the bank.

Car Park Grit Box.
Action Point: Clerk to request a grit box for the car park from NCC.

Tourist Information Centre.
Action Point: Clerk to request that the outside lights aren’t left on all night, perhaps security lights could be installed to cut costs?
