1222. Apologies for absence.
Michael Craster .
1223. Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The July Minutes were accepted as a
true record.
1224. Matters arising from minutes of last
meeting.
Path improvement from Bark Pots to Whin Hill.
Michael Robson declared a personal & prejudicial
interest & left the room.
Michael Robson’s email was read out & the
Councillors discussed the state of the path and were all in agreement
for the work to go ahead.
Action Points: Clerk to contact
Sale & Partners to request Craster Estates permission to carry out
the work. Clerk also to update Mr H Armstrong & to request that the
path be bevelled so any surface water does not run onto the Bark Pots
land.
The sink & kerbing by the bus shelter
& coastal path.
CC John Taylor had a site visit with Mr M Armstrong
from NCC & Mr D Clarke to discuss the repairs, it will start any
day now & NCC will also carry out repair work to the coastal path
from the bus shelter.
Windyside Bridge Signage & ditching.
CC John Taylor will organise some chevron signs for
the bridge & also have SLOW painted on the road on both sides. NCC
is currently repairing the road & verges, and the road is closed to
traffic.
Street Light on Whin Hill.
NCC will replace the street light
this week.
Cullernose Point fencing.
New fencing has been erected at Cullernose Point,
which will make the walk safer.
National Trust parking.
Action Point: Clerk to email John
Walton concerning the National Trust parking & blocking the
footpath.
Footpath repairs.
The footpath resurfacing is not
imminent at the moment.
Hedgerows at Tower Bank .
The hedgerow trimming has been carried out.
Dunstan Water Leak.
CC John Taylor will speak to Richard Landale from
Sale & Partners to request that Craster Estates carry out repair
work to the field & NCC will carry out any repair work necessary
from the road.
1225. NWL Sewerage Update.
Andrew Pinney at George F White gave
us a brief update to the NWL negotiations:-
‘As you are aware the Special Parliamentary
Procedure which NWL have to go through due to them utilising a public
open space is taking longer then originally thought; subsequently the
last update news on the timing of the works within the village I have,
is that this will not be taking place until Winter 2010.
Should this situation change I will inform you as
soon as I know. We are currently chasing NWL to get the licences
agreed, hopefully saving time in the lead up to the works next year.’

Dog Bins.
Action Point: Clerk to find out
prices for dog bins from NCC.
Seat Painting.
Action Point: Alan Punton to
organise painting the outside seats.
Problem with the Ladies Public Toilets.
Action Point: Carol Grey to ring
Billy Pringle @ NCC.
Holiday Homes Bins.
Action Point: CC John Taylor will
speak to the Refuse Dept. about the holiday homes’ bins being left out
on the path for more than the collection days.
Dunstan Bus Timetable.
Action Point: CC John Taylor will
request an up to date Bus Timetable installed at Dunstan by NCC.
Police Crackdown on & Speeding.
Carol Grey has been talking to PC Roxy Bird – the
police are looking for volunteers to go out with speed guns & they
will be covered by the Police Insurance.
Mobile Phone Mast Update.
CC John Taylor commented that this is still ongoing
& AONB aren’t to keen on having a mast installed.
