1300. Apologies for absence.

1301. Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.

The Minutes were accepted as a true record with one alteration – item 1295 NCC Car Parking Charges – should read ‘weekly rate has gone up from £11 to £17’.
Also the May Minutes 1284 NWL Sewerage Update money allocation was disputed by Michael Taylor & discussed in a closed Meeting.

1302. NWL Sewerage Update.

The NWL Open Day is scheduled for 3rd August but the leaflet drop has not yet taken place.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NWL to urge them to carry out the leaflet drop as soon as possible.

The May Meeting minutes were disputed as not accurate when Michael Gibbs recommendations were discussed concerning the NWL money allocation from the lease & sale of land.
A Closed Meeting was held at the end of tonight's Meeting for Councillors to air their views.
Action Points: John Gallon will put together a paper, which will be circulated amongst the Councillors for their views & comments. 
David Francis @ NALC will be contacted to ask for his recommendations on the optimum method of grant requests & fund placement to ensure the money can all be used for the benefit of the village.
Once a decision has been reached Rosie Robson will be authorised to release the agreed paper to Mr Ridley.

1303. Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.

Mobile Phone Mast Update.
Ongoing – we’re waiting for a reply from the NE Ambulance Service.

Dunstan Water Leak, Potholes At Proctor Lonnen & Cemetery House.
We have had a reply from NCC:-
‘We will continue to monitor the potholes condition but unfortunately we do no longer have the funds to carry out the permanent repairs at this stage, the obstructing bushes at Dunstan will be removed from the corner as soon as possible.’
CC John Taylor said the Highways budget has been slashed by 40% and they are cutting the staff at Alnwick by three members, but they are still hoping to spend a couple of days in each parish carrying out road repairs.
Michael Taylor has contacted NCC three times concerning a pothole at Littlemill & they have yet to get back to him.
                           
Affordable Housing Policy.
Rosie Robson would like any comments residents have concerning affordable housing etc to take to the September Meeting of the Alnwick Area Forum.

Grass Verge Outside The Church.
Brown Signposts.
Double Yellow Lines & additional Car Parking Places.
CC John Taylor has requested that these three topics are discussed at September’s Meeting.
Action Point: Clerk to put on the Agenda for the next Meeting.

New Councillors.
All the Councillors unanimously agreed to co-opt John Gallon on to the Parish Council.

Dunstan Dog Bin Objection.
Craster Estates has agreed for the dog bin to be sited on their land & the Clerk has written to NCC for them to re-locate it.

NCC Car Parking Charges.
The parking increase from £11 to £17 was for the weekly tourist permit, which allows the buyer to park in any NCC owned car park for the week.

Disabled Kerb next to Harbour.
This has now been completed.

Fireworks & Chinese lanterns.
Roxy has contacted Lee Buckingham at the fire brigade & he will print off a letter which can be delivered to the holiday lets to inform them about the issue.

Tower Bank seat.
Ongoing - the Clerk has written to Gordon Wilson to repair the seat.
 
Footpath Stile.
John Walton @ The National Trust will look to repair the style & will sort out a ‘Keep Clear’ sign for the gate into the castle field.

1304. Planning Matters.
Action Point: Clerk to email Mr Peter Rutherford the NCC Area Development Manager – North to attend our September Meeting.

Coast Guard Rescue Station - planning approval received.
Action Point: Clerk to email NCC to query why planning approval has been given with such a bad access road.

Dunstan Steads new farmhouse. Ongoing.
Action Point: Clerk to email NCC to find out why the complaint letters can’t be viewed online.

3 Norwell Brow extension - planning approval received. Noted.

1305.  Financial Matters.
Bank Balance: £5,395.46
            Cheques required:-
            Clerk – May – July wages/expenses £497.53

1306. Correspondence received.

Northumberland Charter of Local Councils.  Noted.
NCC – North Brief Mays edition. Noted.
NCC Budget Review 2010/11. Noted.
NALC County Committee consultation. In circulation.
NSP Sustainable Community Strategy. In circulation.

1307. A.O.B.

Craster Harbour Overflow Pipe.
Action Point: Clerk to write to Sale & Partners enclosing a copy of the photograph highlighting the damaged pipe.

Whin Hill Open Notice Board.
Action Point: Joyce Shaw will see if her husband Jimmy would make a replacement Board for us.

NCC – Rural Business Survey.
Passed to Rosie Robson.

Joint NCC/Parish Council Meeting on 11th October.
Action Point:
Clerk to put on the Agenda for the September Meeting.

High hedgerows at Denwick crossroads.
Action Point: Clerk to email NCC requesting them to be trimmed back.

Future Agendas.
Starting from September’s Parish Council Meeting any topic for the Agenda must be received 7 days prior by the Clerk.
