1347. Apologies for absence. Joan Angus.

1348. Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The February Minutes were accepted as a true record.

1349. NWL Sewerage Update.
Two emails were read out, one from Mrs M Gallon concerning the state of the footpaths and Dunstanburgh Road, the other was from Mr Charles Harman @ NWL with an update on how their work is progressing.
Action Point: Clerk to email NWL concerning Dunstanburgh Road surface sinking & for the grit bin at the bottom of Tower Bank to be turned back the right way as its presently sticking out on to the road.  Also the contractor’s road sweeper burnt out between Howick Scar Farm & Howick and the contents/debris have been left at the side of the road.
Action Point: John Gallon will contact David Francis at NALC concerning a higher interest account for the NWL money as the Post Office one is not available for clubs/charities etc.

1350. Craster Community Trust Matters. No matters to discuss.

1351. Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.
Affordable Housing – Residents Forum on 29th March @ Blyth.
Action Point: Clerk to circulate the Right To Buy document amongst the Councillors & to ask CC John Taylor how we go about finding out which houses have covenants on them.

Dunstan Footpath post near the bus stop. This has now been done.

Mr J Gallon – Mobile Reception. Ongoing.

Craster Sea Erosion.
Action Point: Clerk to request an update from NCC as people have fallen over on the footpath & part of it has now been sealed off due to the NWL work.

NCC – Service Costings 2011/12 budget. Email from Locality Development
Email received.
The email was read out – they will contact us shortly concerning a drop in/surgery style meeting, which will provide us with an opportunity to meet with a member of the Executive and officers from Neighbourhood Services and the Locality Team.

Dunstan Water Leak.
It has been confirmed that the water coming off the field is from a natural spring.
1352. Planning Matters.
A/2010/0437 – Dunstan Steads Farm Buildings. (Embleton Minutes circulated)
Ongoing.
Both Pauline Baird & Bryn Owen attended the Meeting held in Embleton, which was not organised by Embleton PC.  The organisers felt that Craster PC didn’t represent them and they wish for the boundaries to be changed so Embleton PC will cover them.  Some of the attendees were content with passing places being created on the road whilst others were not.  If the applicant builds his sheds 400 metres away from dwellings he does not need permission.

A/2008/0289 – Former Nursery Gardens – amendments. Ongoing – NCC are waiting for final comments back from Highways Dept.

A/2011/0052 – Dunstan Hall door & windows SE Wing. No objection.

1353.  Financial Matters.
Bank Balance: £18,123.73

1354. Correspondence received.
NALC & CAN Annual Report. In circulation.
NSP – Sustainable Community Strategy for Northumberland. Noted.
Northern Voice – Feb 2011. Noted.

NCC – Bus Services Review.
NCC have requested our comments concerning the planned review of local bus services.
Action Point: Clerk to email NCC with the following comments:-
1) We would appreciate smaller buses on the Craster Route as they are never full & the road the double deckers use via Windyside Bridge is not suitable for them & they are breaking up the road surface.
2) We would appreciate the bus route reverting back to include Howick & Howick Gardens.
3) Also better co-ordination between Travelsure & Arriva so the bus services don't run so closely at certain times.

NHS Update. Noted.
AONB – Annual Report. Noted.

Mr J Gallon – footway along the west harbour wall.
Action Point: Clerk has emailed Sale & Partners with a request for it to be repaired.

Mrs E Pearson – South Acres grass.
It was agreed that the grass at South Acres could be used for childrens ball games whilst the NWL work is ongoing.

Mr M Robson Overhanging branches in inner car park & removed fencing.
Action Point:  Clerk to email Billy Pringle at NCC & CC John Taylor concerning the branches, fencing and fly tipping in the South West corner.

Grit Bins
Action Point:  Clerk to email NCC concerning the new grit bins filling up with water at South Acres, Heugh Road & the top of Whin Hill.
