1485.    Apologies for absence. Pauline Baird.


Joyce Shaw proposed Michael Craster to stand in as temporary Vice Chairman until Pauline is better, seconded by Alan Punton.

All were in favour.
 
1486.     Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The Minutes were accepted as a true record.

1487.     Dunstanburgh Castle Peace Camp 2012.
Elizabeth Pearson rang Artichoke concerning the Peace Camp’s lack of provision for the disabled & children - Artichoke had to follow the access guidelines laid down by the National Trust. 
The general feeling was that the village should have been consulted first before the location was made public.
Artichoke is considering donating some of the tents to the first school at Embleton.
Monica Cornall from Dunstan Steads emailed concerning the placement of portaloos at the bottom of Dunstan Steads road at the golf course – Artichoke had placed these loos there for the weekend for anyone needing them if they parked at the golf course for the Peace Camp.

1488.     NWL Sewerage Update.
Bryn Owen spoke to Charles @ NWL concerning the odour at Dunstan Steads sewerage station – there had been a malfunction, which has now been fixed.  If the odour returns Bryn will re-contact NWL as holiday home static pipes created the problem.

1489.    Craster Community Trust Matters.
The Village Hall refurb. is ongoing - the hold up is the architect.

1490.    Parking Sub Committee Update.
Michael Craster & the Committee will look into Crasters requirements for the Local Transport Plan.
Michael Craster suggested that the car park would benefit more from a hard surface than from webbing, but the Greys are not willing.  A follow up proposal is to web the central strip – although the webbing will need to go down on a solid surface.  CC John Taylor will collate the details for 3 firms to put in a tender & the Committee is still waiting for the lease terms from GF White.
CC John Taylor will get someone from Highways to talk to us & the grant is still available on a 15-year minimum lease.

1491.     Neighbourhood Plan Sub Committee.
NCC–Local Development Plan Core Strategy Issues & Options Consultation Document 2012 – CC John Taylor will provide us with a hard copy.
No one from NCC could attend this Meeting due to a Meeting NCC were holding at Ponteland on the same night.
Action Point: Clerk to organise a Meeting with NCC to discuss the Local Development Plan.

1492.     Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.
Dunstan Water Leak.  Ongoing.
Village Hall Refurbishment.  Ongoing.
NCC – Dunstan Steads request to move from Craster to Embleton Parish.
CC John Taylor confirmed that NCC has agreed the move.
Action Point: Clerk to email NCC for confirmation. 
Mrs E Pearson – Heugh Road water leak.
Still leaking – This is on NCCs List & CC John Taylor will try to progress it quicker.
Land Registry.
Embleton PC has registered all the unclaimed land within Embleton, which is not taken.  Craster PC could do the same for Craster.  Michael Craster will run it past Craster Estates & will let us know at the next meeting if they are interested in doing it.
The Methodist Church Sale.  Ongoing & CC John Taylor has no update from NCC.
Mr M Taylor – Footpath by the Church between Heugh Wynd & Whin Hill.
The completed paperwork has been sent off to NCC.
Dunstan School.
A response has been received from Sintons & Michael Craster will discuss the issue with Craster Estates this weekend & see the Trust paperwork.  He will also ring Jane Lowdon at Sintons.
Light below 32 Heugh Road.  Done.
Overgrown bushes at the entrance to Craster.
NCC is pruning the bushes back & will charge the National Trust for the work.
Jubilee Beacon.
Dougie Hogg will keep the beacon & a cheque for £50 was raised towards the materials cost.
Tower Bank water on road problem. 
Action Point: CC John Taylor will look into it.
 
1493.    Planning Matters.
CC John Taylor declared an interest.
A/2008/0289 – Former Nursery Gardens – amendments.  Ongoing.

1494.     Financial Matters.
Bank Balance                     £  5,614.23

Cheques required:
    Clerk (wages & stationery)            £298.66

1495.     Correspondence received.
Archaeology in Northumberland.  In circulation.
NCC – Flood & Coastal Erosion Risk Management.
Action Point: Clerk to let them know about the flooding in Dunstan & Heugh Road.
Marion Gallon – Electricity Substation obstructed by shrubbery.
Action Point: CC John Taylor will look into this.
Tourist Information Centre road flooding.
Action Point:  Clerk to contact NCC.  
Elizabeth Pearson - Verges at Littlemill crossroads.
Elizabeth rang NCC & they cut the verges back, Howick Estates are in the process of cutting the grass behind the barrier.
