1543.    Apologies for absence. Michael Craster & Margaret Brooks.

1544.     Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The Minutes for the February Meeting were accepted as a true record.


1545.     Craster Community Trust Matters.
Joan Angus & Pauline Baird will attend the Official Evening for the Hall re-opening & NWL will erect a ‘No Parking’ sign at South Acres.

1546.     Parking in Craster. Ongoing.

1547.     Neighbourhood Plan.
All views & comments concerning the NCC LDP Core Strategy Preferred Options Consultation cut off date was 20th March.
The paper Bryn Owen prepared concerning the Neighbourhood Plan will be discussed in detail after the election at the June Meeting.

1548.     Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.

Dunstan Water Leak & Road Surface. The water is hiding very deep potholes on the damaged road surface through Dunstan & the common field is full of water & not draining away. 
Action Point: Joan Angus will contact Robbie the farmer to meet up with CC John Taylor & Bryn Owen for a site visit 10am tomorrow morning.
Michael Robson will dowse for the source of the water at Dunstan.

Public Footpath by the Church between Heugh Wynd & Whin Hill No25.
A letter from Mr M Taylor concerning the footpath has been circulated & CC John Taylor advised us that the footpath has been accepted as a right of way.

Tower Bank & TI Centre – road flooding. This will be looked at when the weather improves.

Jubilee Oak Tree. Michael Robson & Joan Angus will liase with Michael Craster to organise the tree planting.

Real Christmas Tree. Not the right climate for the tree.

A Punton – Heugh Road/Wynd junction road markings.
At present Denwick is being white lined then Longhoughton & the coastal route will be done where needed.
Action point: CC John Taylor will meet with Highways tomorrow and will ask their advice what can be done at this junction in Craster to slow the traffic down where the buses are trying to manuvoer.  CC John Taylor will also be complaining to Highways about the damage being done by the double decker buses on the Windyside Bridge road & that Howick Gardens had 40k visitors last year & they are not on Arrivas bus route.
Action Point: CC John Taylor will see if Mr Ian Coe from NCC will attend one of our Meetings.

Mrs M Gallon – Public Phone fault.
The phone fault is now being dealt with at a senior level at Openreach - the cable & the protective casing will have to be dug up and replaced.
Although it has come to our attention that there are approximately 4 other public phone boxes in Northumberland which have also not been repaired.
Action Point: Joyce Shaw will write a letter to the Gazette & Journal & forward a copy onto Look North.

1549.     Planning Matters.  CC John Taylor declared an interest.
A/2008/0289 – Former Nursery Gardens – amendments.  Pending.
12/03359/FUL – 43 Dunstanburgh Road – creation of a holiday home. Granted.
CC John Taylor spoke to the planning officer who passed it concerning the change from extension to extra house to the application.
Action Point: Bryn Owen will write a letter of complaint to NCC.
NCC are carrying out a survey on all ex ADC council houses to see if any have been sold & are now holiday homes as they have a restrictive covenant in place to prevent this.

Bryn Owen – Danger of Roadside Trees.
There is a tree on Smithy Bank Hill which requires attention.
Action Point: Councillors to make a note of any trees in the area which require pruning.

Parish Council Elections.
Bryn Owen pointed out that if a Councillor doesn’t serve for the full 5 years & another election is required it could cost the parish £2,000.00.
Broadband for Craster.
Action Point: John Gallon to write a letter to iNorthumberland & BT concerning broadband for Craster.

The next Meeting will be on Thursday 18th April 2013.
