1654. Apologies for absence. Pauline Baird & CC John Taylor.
1655. Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The March Minutes were
accepted as a true record with the following alteration:

– Embleton, South Acres extension.
Bryn Owen spoke to John
Woodman AONB & asked if he’d seen our paper – which he hadn’t &
two other County Councillors had not seen it either.)
1656. Parish Council Vacancies.
There is still one
vacancy for a Parish Councillor.
Action Point: Clerk to contact
David Francis at NALC to see how many we are required to have.

was nominated by Bryn Owen & seconded by Joyce Shaw. All in favour.
1657. Planning Matters.
13/03499/FUL – Emblestone, South Acres extension.
A letter has been
received & circulated from NCC concerning their need for more time
in responding to our correspondence concerning the planning approval
etc.
Action Point: Action to be taken at
May’s Meeting if we haven’t received a response from NCC.

14/00205/FUL–Proposed replacement dwelling on land at former 21 Whin
Hill.
Michael Taylor will
contact NCC after the weekend as the decision is now 3 weeks late due
to waiting for the Highways Depts comments. There will also be a
covenant put in place on the rental houses.
NCC Training Session – the Basics of Planning (Northumberland Hall 23rd
April 6pm-8pm) Martin Smith is
hoping to attend.
1658. Craster Community Trust Matters. None.
1659. Parking in Craster.
The new solar powered
meters have been re-positioned so they’re out of the shade, the funding
is awaiting budget approval at NCC & the Turn Field will be open
for the bank holiday weekend. Whin Hill is still being blocked by
parked cars & an ambulance couldn’t get through Craster, hopefully
these problems will improve when the Order goes through for all year
round double yellow lines etc.
Marion Gallon’s email
has been circulated concerning the problems faced by walkers from
Dunstan to Craster via the road.
Action Point: Clerk to forward John
Gallon’s paper to NCC concerning the dangers for walkers from Dunstan
to Craster from parked cars, speeding cars & the lack of footpaths.

1661. Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.
Dunstan Water Leak & Road Surface. Ongoing.
Heugh Wynd Grass Surfaces & Mud on Footpath. Ongoing.
White lines require re-doing on road into Craster. NCC will do at the end of May.

B Owen – trees requiring pruning at entrance to village.

Stephen Ternent to prune the trees.

B Owen – Footpath marker post by the arch pointing along the cinder
path is on the floor.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC
Footpath Officer concerning the Dunstan marker & Harbour Lights
marker & to request a review of all the footpath signs for the
beginning of the tourist season in both Dunstan & Craster.
B Owen–Dog fouling on the rocky shore, south end of the kickabout field.
Action Point: Clerk to email NCC
with residents concerns about the dog fouling at the kickabout area
& coastal path.
NCC consultations on School transport.
John Gallon contacted
NCC concerning the bus services which will be cut as the only funding
which will be available will be on the school buses, NCC advised that
it is all still in progress & then it will go to
consultation. Bryn Owen has forwarded John's email & response
to AONB.
Embleton Joint Burial Committee.
There will be a
discussion on 1st May with NALC & Craster, Embleton & Newton by
the Sea Parish Councils to discuss Terms of Reference & Standing
Orders.
The next Meeting will be on
Thursday 15th May 2014.
