1570.     Parking in Craster.
Michael Craster appologised for not chasing up about whether the field would be open for parking at the weekend.  CC John Taylor met with NCC for a site visit last Tuesday & the result is that the existing entrance is not acceptable & needs to be moved 25 metres to the west & the access improved & widened to 6ft.  The access will need to be on hardstanding to keep mud off the road & a pedestrian crossing point installed for people to cross the road to the footpath.
Scott Grey is not prepared to spend money on these improvements & Michael Craster & Margaret Brooks are meeting with NCC in 2 weeks time to look at all the road/parking/signage issues in Craster & this will be on the list.
If the field continues to operate under the 28 day rule no improvements are required, but to open more often the upgrades will be necessary under the Dept. of Transport’s new rules.
Action Points: CC John Taylor will check with NCC to see if their car park can be reconfigured to create more spaces.
Michael Craster will draw up a plan & costings before looking to possible funding.
