Report of Meeting held in December 2012

Business was kept to an absolute minimum as we were all anxious to tuck into the sumptuous buffet that had been supplied by the members.

The Federation Pantomime was enjoyed by all who attended it. The production was excellent and has left us with happy memories. YMCA will never be the same again.

The friendly Domino / Darts match against Beadnell has taken place. Craster lost the Dominoes but won the Darts. There is a possibility of a return match in January.

Members were encouraged to sign up for the Spring Council meeting on Thursday 11th April Alnwick Playhouse. £4 for observer ticket.

The 9 members who are going to Hexham Abbey for the Christmas celebration have to be in Embleton for 9.30 in order to catch the group bus.

Voting for the resolutions will take place in January. Details of these were in the latest issue of the WI Life as was a questionnaire about Denman College. Members were encouraged to fill it in and send it off.

Arrangements for the Christmas lunch at the cottage were given out.

Sheila Dixon is going to let us know what time the “Dirty Dancing” Bus will leave the village on Friday.

After our sumptuous repast we all sat back and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment provided by 3+2. Their eclectic mix of songs, anecdotes and monologue made the time fly.

The new voting system seems to be going down well and Shirley Tucker won the competition for an object beginning with J.

A special thank you to Jeannette for lighting the fire which made the hall so inviting.
