Report of Meeting held in July 2012
This meeting was held at the Copley Hall Howick as our
own hall is out of action. Members were told that we were unsure as to
when we would be able to get back into the memorial hall so they needed
to keep checking with committee members.
We were presented with many opportunities at our July
meeting. Members duly signed up in response to invitations from
Warkworth, and Belford as well as pledging support for our annual
fundraiser which again was a great success. A valiant team effort which
showed that community spirit is alive and well in Craster.
The secretary also drummed up support for the Big Swim
little Splash. Subscriptions for the 100 club were given to our
assistant treasurer as were monies for diaries and calendars.
Information was also given out about the Autumn and Christmas events at
Heighley Gate.
The main event of the evening was an inspiring and
entertaining talk by Hazel Stephenson outlining how despite a lack of
knowledge “capital letters and paragraphs” she had against all the odds
written two successful books.
