Report of Meeting held in June 2012

Our June meeting turned into a bit of a party. Fiona Craster had very kindly offered to host the proceedings in her magnificent home so Craster Towers was besieged by chattering members and their guests. This time our trail blazer Jimmy Shaw had the protection of three other male guests.

Lance Strother provided the wine and the ladies of the WI the food. We learned how to taste wine in a “proper fashion” and had great fun putting this into practice. The noise level rose throughout the proceedings. We felt very privileged to be in such a setting. The evening was embellished by the presence of the County Chairman Hilary Robson who regaled us with tales of her attempt at abseiling.

Craster WI really appreciated the kindness shown to us by Fiona and Michael Craster.

Members and visitors were reminded that our July meeting will be held in the Copley Hall Howick as our village Hall is out of action.
