Report of Meeting held in October 2012

Members were welcomed back to Copley Hall and warned they would be in the same venue for at least the next two meetings.

10 members participated in the Big Walk Little Splash walking or swimming a total of 948.75 miles.

The autumn event at Heighley Gate had taken place and members were asked to contact Sylvia if they were interested in submitting crafts for the December event.

There have been no volunteers to join the committee. Members were asked to give the matter further serious consideration. The clip board was circulated containing opportunities to sign up for Domino Ralley at Stannington, Christmas at the Abbey, a visit to Bamburgh WI and a visit to Howick. Two places have become available to attend Belford’s Birthday celebration.

The following opportunities were also offered.

b) Brizlee Quiz Friday 26th October 7.30 £5 Pottergate centre tables of 6
c) A request for transparencies and prints for the WI calendar 2014 Animals was made.

November is our Annual Meeting so members were reminded to bring their own cutlery, plates and bowl.

The Competition was won by Fiona Craster with Heather Lee and Sybil Dawson coming second and third respectively.

The main event of the evening was a very closely fought quiz delivered by Rosemary Dunn.
