Report of Meeting held in March 2013

This member’s night turned into a trip down memory lane as we shared memories of the coronation.  Life has certainly changed since 1953 when TV screens were probably smaller than your average laptop screen these days.   We were not very good in general at putting names to the photographs of members taken in the 1950s but some people have not aged at all.

Members were asked to get their “Fish and Chip” jumpers to Shirley ASAP and to pick  up the new pattern if they wished.

We were glad to hear that our Hall was nearing completion and that we should be back inside it for our April Meeting.  We were told that the “Drop in” resumes on Saturday
6th April.  It was thought to be a good idea to bring along a small contribution of food to this occasion.  Further events at the hall include a play on 23rd April and an official opening.   This is by invitation only.  As president Sylvia will represent the WI.

A spare place for the Beetle Drive on Monday was offered as someone has had to drop out.

Members were asked if they wanted to be involved in the programme planning meeting on Tuesday 9th April 1.00pm in the Hall.

Members were shown the clock that we are going to present to the Hall to mark the Official re-opening.

Our annual outing is to Wallington Hall on May 2nd.  We leave Craster at 1pm and arrive at Wallington at 2pm.  We will have a meal at the Dyke Neuk Inn.  We will pay for the entrance and the bus.

Members were offered the opportunity to take place in a reality TV show.  There were no takers.

Shirley won the competition with an attractive mask.
